Self-Balancing Motorcycle

The design and fabrication of a rapid prototype for a self-balancing motorcycle involve multiple stages, including the determination of design requirements, mechanical and electronic system design, prototype fabrication, and testing to ensure performance standards are met. The mechanical design consists of the frame, suspension, wheels, and steering system, while the electronic design integrates control systems, sensors, and motors. Fabrication techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and welding are employed to manufacture the components. These components are assembled to form the prototype, which can then be used for further development and optimization toward a fully functional self-balancing motorcycle

Air Engine

Environmental pollution in metropolitan cities is rising rapidly, primarily due to the increased use of fossil fuel-powered vehicles. One promising alternative is a compressed air-powered engine. The key advantage of this engine is that it does not require hydrocarbon fuel, thus eliminating combustion and emissions. In this project, a four-stroke single-cylinder spark ignition (SI) engine is converted into a two-stroke engine that operates using compressed air. This modification makes it simple, cost-effective, and easy to adapt since it utilizes existing engine structures. Air, being abundant and renewable, serves as a clean and sustainable fuel source for this innovative system.

Cruise Control Lever

Parallel Parking System

This project proposes a manual driving system for a four-wheel independent steering and driving vehicle to facilitate efficient parallel parking. The system aims to reduce human error and collisions that often occur during parking in limited spaces. A small-scale prototype is developed to demonstrate the design’s feasibility and functionality. The results indicate that the developed model can identify suitable parking spaces, execute parallel parking maneuvers, avoid front and rear obstacles, and significantly reduce parking time.

Timed Speed Breaker

Power Generation System

This project focuses on designing and fabricating a timed speed breaker capable of generating electricity through vehicular motion. When a vehicle passes over the speed breaker, it compresses the mechanism, which in turn rotates a flywheel connected to a generator to produce electricity. The generated power can be used immediately or stored for later use. The system design utilizes 3D modeling software for structural and mechanical analysis. Materials such as metal frames, sheet metal, shafts, and wiper motors are employed for fabrication. This innovative setup demonstrates a sustainable and cost-effective approach to energy generation from vehicular movement.
